Meet Ormond Beach Franchise Owner
Tony Puglia
“If you do what you love you don’t have to work a day in your life.”
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tony grew up with a deep love for the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, and playing sports. When he moved to Tampa, Florida, in 2011, that passion for nature quickly transitioned into a love for boating and water activities, which quickly became a central part of his lifestyle.
Tony and his wife Karen proudly call Ormond Beach home. Together, they have a vibrant, blended family of four children. Two of their kids were born and raised in Florida and now attend Daytona State College. Another currently serves overseas in the Army, a source of immense pride for the family, while the youngest will soon graduate high school.
They have two dogs: Bailey, a Blackmouth Cur, and Loki, an Australian Shepherd (who loves sunrises, boating, and long walks on the beach.) They also have two cats, Delilah and Supe, and an axolotl named Davey Jones.
Tony fully embraces the Florida lifestyle, spending his time boating, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. He's thrilled to open Backwater Provisions Ormond Beach, combining his passion for the outdoors with his 25 years of career experience in business, finance, and customer service.
