We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Store Lead to take the helm of our Backwater Provisions Safety Harbor location. This is a manager-level role responsible for overseeing daily operations, enhancing customer experience, driving sales, and managing store staff. If you’re passionate about coastal lifestyle, retail, and leadership, we’d love to have you on board!

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Sales Growth

• Treat every guest as if they were a guest in your home—providing above-and-beyond service.
• Build relationships with customers, creating a local community of brand supporters.
• Ensure the store is always clean, organized, and visually appealing to enhance the shopping experience.
• Monitor sales trends and adjust strategies to maximize revenue.

Store Operations & Inventory Management

• Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and coordinating with vendors.
• Set and reset the store based on seasonal sales demands and merchandising strategies.
• Ensure products are priced strategically and merchandised effectively.
• Analyze sales data and forecast future inventory needs.

Marketing & Community Engagement

• Develop and execute in-store promotions, events, and seasonal activations to drive traffic and sales.
• Work with vendors and manufacturers to create impactful store displays.
• Promote the store locally by collaborating with schools, local media, and community partners.
  

Leadership & Team Management

• Hire, train, and manage store associates, ensuring they provide excellent service.
• Lead by example—motivate and develop staff to create a positive, high-energy work environment.
• Ensure store policies, safety protocols, and operational standards are met.
• Keep ownership informed on business performance, trends, and new opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills
✔ Retail or store management experience required
✔ Shopify experience is a plus
✔ Strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to analyze sales data and make strategic business decisions
✔ Strong marketing and promotional planning skills
✔ Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment
✔ Knowledge of inventory management and vendor relations
✔ Passion for coastal living, fishing, and outdoor adventure is a plus!
